For steering and suspension repairs there is a long list of safety factors that one should consider. Shock absorbers are up there at the top of the list. Often forgotten about it is not until an emergency stop is required that the true value of these things are appreciated. Only at 60 kms an hour one faulty shock absorber can increase your stopping distance by as much as 2 full meters. How does that saying go? If it only works once a year it is a good year? A cliché I know but true nonetheless.

Ball joints, springs tyres and all of those things are all critically important safety components of any vehicle. I have driven some pretty worn out cars in my time. I would never drive my kids in any of those cars and I suggest you should not risk it either.
